Fannette Island, Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

This was a stunning scene to look upon. The deep blue of the water surrounding the small island of white and green tends to holds one's gaze for some time. I would have loved to have gone down to the island and explored for a while as I understand there is a generous amount of history attached to the place. (See: Captain Dick "Thems My Toes" Barter)
